Paul Aaron Pickett, affectionately known as “Jake,” entered this world on May 19, 1986, in the vibrant city of San Antonio, Texas, to his proud parents, Velma Juarez and Paul A. Pickett.
His journey led him to Mexico City DF and Via Ermosa Tabasco, Mexico, where he spent his formative years until 1996. Relocating to Minden, Louisiana, in ’96, Paul graduated from Glenbrook High School in 2004, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
Answering the call of duty, Paul devoted eight years of his life to the United States Army from 2005 to 2013, serving in the 287th Infantry Battalion, 10th Mountain Division, at Fort Drum, NY, and Fort Polk, LA. His unwavering commitment took him on three combat tours to Afghanistan, earning him a Purple Heart, three Army Commendation Awards, and an ARCOM with V devise.
Transitioning to Army Reserves in 2013, Paul expanded his horizons and, from 2013 to 2016, brought his resilience to the oilfield as a Slick Line Operator.
In January 2016, he embarked on a new venture, joining House Call Shreveport, showcasing his spirit and determination in the home inspection industry.
Love found its way into Paul’s life when he married Natalie Pickett on July 14, 2007. Their story began in 4th-grade homeroom, blossoming into a beautiful journey as they officially started dating on May 31, 2002.
Paul and Natalie are the proud parents of two wonderful children: Landon Austin Pickett, 11, and Liliana Alyssa Pickett, 6. Their family circle extends to three furry companions: LouLou the Basset Hound, Luna the German Shepherd, and Sam the Pomeranian.
